NEWSPAPERS
There’s no question that the Internet has caused serious problems for general circulation newspapers today. But so did radio and television. Many audiences remain very comfortable with a tabloid or broadsheet format on newsprint and are more receptive to your message than if they received it on-line. Newsprint is also a cost-effective option for hardcopy publications.
Client: Disabled American Veterans Department of Massachusetts.
Industry: Nonprofit
Project: The DAV Department of Massachusetts wanted to reinvigorate its communication with its membership statewide with a dramatic upgrade in its monthly publication. Donovan Writing & Publishing created The Point, a full tabloid newspaper that is sent each quarter to more than 40,000 readers. Each issue contains articles of interest to the disabled veteran community, including health news, updates on legislation, benefits changes and the many ways that the DAV provides value to its members. The Point has helped to strengthen connections between the DAV and its members and contributed to a growth in membership.
