DONOVAN WRITING & PUBLISHING PRODUCES SUMMER ISSUE OF “THE POINT”
Hingham, MA, July 23, 2007 – Donovan Writing & Publishing and the Disabled American Veterans Department of Massachusetts have published the summer issue of The Point, the quarterly publication delivered to more than 40,000 Massachusetts veterans.
The Point brings news, opinions and features about people and issues of interest to members of the Massachusetts Department of the DAV. The latest issue of the tabloid-formatted newspaper includes a compelling story of a Boston firefighter who saved the life of a Boston police officer while both of them were serving as Marines in Iraq; coverage of legislative hearings on post-traumatic stress disorder and a report from the Department’s annual convention.
Disabled American Veterans is a national organization formed more than 80 years ago to help veterans of World War I. Today the organization works to improve the lives of more than 1.2 million disabled veterans and their families. The Massachusetts DAV is one of 50 state departments around the U.S., working with 81 chapters at the local level.
Donovan Writing & Publishing, a custom publishing firm based in Hingham, MA, has worked with the Massachusetts DAV since January of 2006, providing complete publishing services to produce The Point.
