APEX RECOGNIZES DONOVAN WRITING & PUBLISHING FOR PUBLICATION EXCELLENCE
Hingham, MA, July 2008 – The APEX Awards program recently honored Donovan Writing & Publishing with an Award of Excellence for its work producing The Point, the newspaper of the Massachusetts Department of the Disabled American Veterans.
Donovan W&P Editorial Director William Donovan and Creative Director Kurt Malec received an Award of Excellence in the category of “One-to-Two-Person-Produced Magapapers & Newspapers.” The Point is a quarterly tabloid newspaper that is sent directly to the 40,000 members of the Massachusetts DAV.
The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is a national annual competition that recognizes superior work in publications by communications professionals, based upon editorial content, graphic design and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. This was the 20th year of the competition, sponsored by Communications Concepts of Springfield, VA, with nearly 4,500 entries submitted for review.
